Mate said, “I was introduced to FBLA by my English teacher in the fall of 2019, and was immediately interested in competing in such a substantial international event. Because I am passionate about the business world and like to give presentations, I chose the category of Business Ethics, with the topic Ethical Issue of Photo Manipulation Related to Journalistic Practices and Public Opinion. English being my second language, I enjoyed researching my topic and preparing my presentation, gaining a wider perspective on the connection of journalism and photography. Besides improving my public speaking and writing abilities, participation in FBLA enabled me to interact with my peers beyond the classroom, gaining valuable networking skills. My hopes are that more students will join the Hungarian FBLA chapter and discover fields they have never experienced before. After graduating high school, my plan is to study Business Management in the Netherlands. I would like to thank my Advisor Mr. Sandor Bajza for his incredible support, the Hungarian FBLA National Advisor Mr. Tamas Makra for running the Hungarian FBLA program. I would also like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the other GOFBLA-sponsored students who competed at the 2020 NLE.  I am immensely humbled and proud for placing 9th at the 2020 NLE.”
